Senator Kemp Hannon
6th District New York
Celebrate National Volunteer Week by Taking Action

National Volunteer Week is celebrated April 10 through April 16 this year.  Senator Kemp Hannon is reminding everyone that every minute of volunteer work is appreciated and admirable.

“Volunteering is an exceptional way to challenge ourselves while simultaneously assisting others,” said Senator Hannon. “Using our own talents and abilities to help those who are in need benefits our entire community,” Hannon continued.

During National Volunteer Week, we honor the ordinary people who dedicate their time and efforts to accomplish extraordinary things, and we encourage everyone to strengthen our community by volunteering.  From mentoring a student, donating food and clothing to the homeless, or even rebuilding after a natural disaster, volunteers are touching lives every single day.
